Dreams/Goals: I have only one real goal in life which reigns supreme. The rest of my goals all play into the main goal. I wish only to be happy. This signifies so many things I need to acomplish to reach this state that it would take quite some time to list them. For instance, money isn't something I truly require mass amounts of, just a nice bit of security. More important to my 'happy' goal would be having someone in my life which I share everything with no matter how insignificant. Another would be having enough to provide for any offspring I may father at some point in my life. Musical Interests: I'm a lifetime novice player of instruments. I've played the Piano, Trumpet and the Guitar. I like being able to create music more than listening to it. Music is good for the soul, in my opinion, but being with the music is that much more spirit lifting. Singing along with a song is much more enjoyable than listening to a song. Playing the song upon an instrument has the same sort of feeling for me. I'm not an avid musician, but it plays a role in my life I'd like to reclaim. I'd like to learn to play the Piccolo as flutes and their brethren have always fascinated me as well. I think learning to play the pan-pipes would also be an interesting challenge. In regards to musical preferences, I'm pretty much open to most types of music that is produced now and then. The key point of a song to me is, "Does it touch my soul? Does it speak to me?" Educational Purpose: Speaking from a straightforward perspective, I would like to achieve my Doctorate in the close field of Language. Linguistics is my current major, seeing as how Language can change. The way people can intone or express themselves with variances in speech patterns greatly intrigues me more than any other subject I've been passionate about. The way words strung together can affect someone, or get across a specific meaning. How that same sentence when intoned differently can mean something altogether is truly amazing to me. How a small gesture or a look of the eyes can make it mean a third thing altogether is something my mind ever dwells upon. How cultures play a part in speech and the written word also is quite intriguing to me. (Oh hell who knows what's going on here now.... Meh) Career Pursuit: Originally I wanted to be a professor, though now I'm thinking all I really want to do is own my own businesses. That's right it has gone from singular to plural. I'm one of those bastards who insist of creating more stuff for you to buy in your life. Don't you just love us. | ||
